In the healthcare industry today, there is an increasing awareness of the need for supply cost reduction through focused value analysis. This has steadily come along as a result of the all too familiar presence of strained revenues, shrinking budgets and the seemingly endless rising costs in labor, non-labor and new technologies.

Unfortunately, for the Value Analysis structure within hospitals, there are few (if any) software options to support the Value Analysis teams to manage, document and communicate their efforts. In some cases, patchwork systems are put together to facilitate various aspects of the process (on-line new product request forms, initiative listings on the web etc...).
